Sea Eagles / Quantum Media Conference
Friday 13th Feb (...lucky for some)
Last Friday, February 13th 2009, the Sea Eagles and Quantum hosted a media conference at the Academy of Sport. The aim of the media conference was to launch the brand new 2009 Sea Eagles Jersey. Although weather initially appeared to perhaps dampen the media turnout – it was extremely pleasing to discover that due to recent increased interest in Sea Eagles affairs there was in fact a fantastic turnout!
Representatives from all forms of media were there; from radio and print to television and pay TV. All were keen to preview the team in their new Quantum branded jerseys as well as interview Sea Eagles board members and players.
Something that undoubtedly got the media talking and cameras flashing was the entertaining media stunt that Quantum had put together. An outdoor mock shower scene was constructed and Sea Eagles boys Brett Stuart and David Williams proudly donned a brief pair of swimmers and enjoyed a Quantum Eco Hot Water shower. (All ladies on site were blushing I’m sure!)
And something to note was that the weather on the day was dark, gloomy and wet......and the Quantum solar heat pump still operated outstandingly - staying true to the saying of “works rain, hail or shine!”
