Quantum Continues to Help Build Dreams!
Reality television show - Mitre 10 Dream Home will air its 10th series in 2009. The show is based around two couples that have been selected and given the amazing opportunity to turn a dilapidated old house into their Dream Home. The “Do It Yourself” television series has been a massive success in New Zealand and attracted not only a large and loyal fan base, but in recent years has also turned its focus onto the importance of energy efficiency in the home.
In 2008 EECA, (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) joined forces with the show and their major involvement brought with it a clear focus on showing the New Zealand audience the many ways in which their household can make everyday energy efficient choices - ultimately benefiting them financially and assisting to sustain our beautiful environment.
Last season Quantum offered to donate our environmentally friendly heat pump hot water systems to the challengers. Both the Yellow and Blue team installed a Quantum heat pump hot water system and are now enjoying not only the reliability of the systems, but also the amazingly low running costs. The exciting news is that the 2009 Blue Team have again chosen to install a Quantum hot water system – the Quantum Compact 270L. Quantum is once again very proud to be involved with the Mitre 10 Dream Home series as it is such a fun, exciting and all round good cause project to be part of. It’s an excellent opportunity to share with the New Zealand public the importance of making energy efficient decisions and how Quantum can help lower energy consumption, reduce running costs and promote overall sustainable livingThe 2009 series kicks off third week of February on TV2. It’s bound to be another exciting, entertaining and informative series and we’re all very much looking forward to see how well the teams go and wish them the best of luck!
